I know people assume I might be proud, and I will not dispute. I have moments when I boldly let my pride take charge and one of those times is when it comes to money. I personally love money. I love the feeling it brings knowing I have it but one thing I have learnt over the years is that ‘ money comes, and money goes’.
I remain grateful to the type of family I am being raised in and the life experiences I have and keep having. I do not deny that as I get exposed to the world, sometimes my level of contentment is tested but even in those times, I learn to remain grounded. I remind myself that it is important to have not because we want to hoard but because we need to sustain our lives and those around us.
My parents taught me to save and to spend. They typically joke and tell me that all the money I am saving will still be spent. This is not them discouraging me from being financially smart, but to guide me to know what I spend my money on. It is definitely still a learning process because I know I make bad decisions but even then, I remain what? GROUNDED!
Today, I want to remind you that if you lose money, it is okay; you will get more of it. If you are delayed your pay, it is okay because you show that you can deliver even without the funds (fight for your money😁). If your still working just to make ends meet, that is also okay; keeping working and aim to start working not for money alone but the value you bring.
So darling, I encourage you to value money but not at the expense of your values nor integrity.
With proud smiles,
Her Splendid Thoughts
