You are a person with power and that power can be many things. Today let us talk about the power of jealousy in man and how it can destroy not just your neighbour but you as well.
In 2022/23, I was praying for a new job and a good number of other life changes. I remember good news was shared with me about someone getting a new job and it was a great offer. Now I was truly happy but there was a tiny voice that stung with jealousy and condescension on why the person was worth it and not me. I realized that this action does not portray who I am and even if I was praying for something, someone else getting it should not let me assume it was my right that was taken away. I mean we can all have jobs and we are all praying for different or similar things. We serve a great GOD so why should I expect that it is only my prayer that should be answered.
You see, you might be a good person but daily you have to nurture your being because the devil is consistently trying to tempt you into things not of GOD. I am not proud of the thoughts that flashed in my head, but I am proud of how I nipped it at the bud and then thanked GOD for the person. I also saw it as a sign that the answers to my prayers were next door and soon I will be rejoicing.
Not only did my actions give me peace, but when my prayers were answered, they were answered in many folds; folds not only directly to me, but to people close to me as well. So darling, as mortals, the good and bad fight within us but with grace we can be victorious. Continue to fight the good fight and let GOD lead you.
