What am I here for?

Lately, I have found myself reflecting deeply on why I am in my current field of work and what drives me to do what I do. This introspection was sparked again at a training I attended and resurfaced when I had to confront a significant career decision head-on.

Through these reflections, a consistent truth has emerged. They may not be the grand or elaborate statements one might expect from someone pursuing career advancement, but they hold undeniable truth for me.

I’m driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. I want to be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of others. I see myself as a support system, providing the necessary foundation for others to achieve their goals. But my aspirations go beyond simply professional success.

I am here to make a difference.
A difference that uplifts people,
Supports their progress as a steadfast backbone,
Provides help in any way I can,
And draws them closer to GOD.

This journey of self-discovery is an ongoing process. I’m constantly evaluating how my skills and qualifications can best align with this overarching purpose. As the new year unfolds, I’m committed to continuing this exploration and deepening my understanding of how I can best utilize my gifts to make a positive difference in the world.
