Empowered Mothers: an inspiration for future generations

When I look at my mum, I am filled with gratitude. Often, during our chats or when I’m traveling, she looks at me and says, “You are living the life I wanted. I prayed to GOD, and HE answered me through you.” Those words mean everything to me. My mum loves to travel, and by God’s grace, she has visited most continents—a dream fulfilled in part through her prayers and efforts.

I also look at my aunties and see them doing the same for their kids. My mum and two of my aunties are my greatest inspirations. Each has taken unique yet parallel paths to make us, their children, proud. They pursued different careers, made distinct sacrifices, and knew when to prioritize family over work. In every sense, they are superstars to me.

Watching my mum encourage my sisters-in-law in their careers and businesses moves me deeply. It takes extraordinary strength and love to support and uplift those who become part of your family. I hope they understand how to strike the balance she has modeled. And when my time comes, I hope to do the same.

Darling, who are you learning from? What are you willing to sacrifice for your children? Do you know when to step back and let your children soar? Do you understand the delicate balance needed to propel your kids far beyond where you’ve been?
