Someday, I’ll write about the man after my heart.
But today, I want to tell you about the man who owns it—my Dad.
Ever look at someone and just thank God they’re in your life? That’s how I feel about my family—and my dad is no exception.
People often tell me I don’t talk about my dad much. Well… if you had a treasure, would you broadcast it to the world? Would you carry it in and out all the time, or would you protect it—quietly and carefully?
I understand where they’re coming from. But the people closest to me—they know.
They know I’m a Daddy’s girl.
Not because I’m spoiled silly. But because I know that whenever I need something, or when the weight is too heavy to carry alone—my dad is right there, on standby.
I see my dad as a vessel through which God speaks to me. A human form of wisdom, protection, and steady love.
From childhood into adulthood, he’s been a voice I trust.
Of course, I grew older and thought maybe other people could take his place. #sillyme
But life taught me something simple:
My dad will always be my dad.
In our conversations, he often reflects the kind of man I pray for—
The kind of man I hope to raise.
He’s not perfect, because no human is.
But there’s so much to learn from a man like my Dad.
I love you, Daddy. 🤗
With baby smiles,
