In just two to three weeks, I’ve experienced three major accidents. The devil really tried, but I’m still standing strong. It wasn’t until this past Saturday that I truly began to process everything. Even now, looking back, it all feels like a miracle each time.
Accident One: The Chase
The first incident happened while playing with my cousin. She was chasing me, and as I spun around a table to avoid being caught, I tripped over the left leg of my trousers and fell face-down. Miraculously, my left knee took the full impact, and the rest of my body almost seemed suspended in midair. My face was inches from the tiles, but it never touched the floor—thank God! Though my knee still aches, I’m grateful it didn’t disrupt my daily life.
Accident Two: The Near Miss and the Crash
Exactly one week ago, on a Wednesday, everything seemed normal—until it wasn’t.
That morning, while crossing a road with someone, we signaled cars to stop so we could reach ours, which was parked nearby. Just as I was about to take the final step and open my car door, I paused—right in front of a car. The woman with me didn’t pause, and in that split second, a motorcycle sped between us. We all screamed. It brushed her skin but didn’t hit her fully. I thanked God. I was mad at the rider but thankful for what didn’t happen.
Later that evening, after an emotional visit to the dermatologist and with tears still fresh, I stopped by a pharmacy to pick up a prescription. That’s when the second accident occurred. I was at a T-junction, driving straight ahead, when a car from the side tried to turn into my path. We didn’t see each other. In less than a blink, a white car appeared in front of me. I hit the brakes instinctively—but it was too late. I crashed into the back of that car.
By God’s grace, no one was harmed in either car; though both vehicles were damaged. And as my dad always says, “If you could control it, it wouldn’t be an accident.” That wisdom has helped me release the overthinking.
Accident Three: The Fall
The final incident happened just yesterday. It was raining, and I was at an open market talking with my aunt. I didn’t notice the uneven walkway. Suddenly, my left foot hit a bump, and down I went—again on my left side. I had nothing to grab onto. Yet somehow, the rest of my body emerged unscathed, just like before.
Shoutout to the left side of my body—you’re doing the most 😉.
Victory in Every Fall
Driving home yesterday, I couldn’t help but reflect. The enemy may have tried, but he failed each time.
- First, he tried to have me fall face-flat—he failed.
- Next, he tried to injure my head in a crash—he failed.
- Then, he tried to knock me backward—again, he failed.
So shall it continue: no success, no victory, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I’m wrapped in divine love, grace, favor, and mercy—and that will never change. 🙏
Here’s to no more accidents or near misses—for me and for everyone around me. Amen. None shall die! I will live o declare the works of the LORD in the land of the living.
I’ve got the victory!
With graciously victorious smiles,
Her Splendid Thoughts
