I recently came across a message I sent to my family group. I felt it might be beneficial to someone else as well. So, enjoy the read.
How are we today? You would agree with me that it is easy to develop a habit but difficult to break one. Every day, we wake up and head to the bathroom to brush our teeth. Some mornings, we might feel grumpy and question why we have to go through the routine of brushing or showering. Yet, despite those thoughts, we freshen up because we do not want bad breath, discomfort, or to be perceived negatively by others.
In the same way, prayer and thanksgiving to GOD should become a daily habit. We can develop the habit of praying consistently—not just in the morning or at night but at every opportunity we have. However, just like with attending an evening mass or service, we often come up with excuses. We need to break those excuses and cultivate a lifestyle of prayer.
GOD blesses us freely without asking for anything in return. But from our hearts, we should desire to say, “Thank YOU.” Some people spend more time in prayer than others, and that is completely fine. The important question is: how do you spend the time you have with your Creator? When you pray—whether in church or at home—do you find your mind wandering?
This reflection brings me back to my childhood, where morning devotions were a daily practice. Over time, this transitioned into night devotions. I remember how Mummy would take us—especially me—to morning mass or adoration. Sometimes, we would travel all the way into town just to attend mass.
Please, let that devotion to GOD never die. The busyness we claim to have today is often a result of the blessings the LORD has given us. Therefore, at the very least, start a habit of prayer with your family. And if you already do, kudos to you! 👏🏽
If your schedule is packed seven days a week, take just a minute whenever possible and say, “Thank YOU, JESUS.” Life is simple with CHRIST.
I love you all.
With genuine smiles,

Thank you for this great piece. No matter how busy we are, we should remember our Creator who has overwhelmed us with so many blessings and always find time to connect with him. If we make prayer a habit, we can’t do without it.
