When quotes don’t quote right

I just saw a quote of mine that said, “Don’t focus on the efforts, focus on the end result.
Hahahaha.😂

Now, this quote could have made perfect sense to me yesterday… and it might make sense tomorrow.
But today?
Today, it’s a shaky message.

I’m currently in a phase where I’m questioning every effort, every ounce of energy, every drop of intention I pour into getting the results I want. I’m no longer rushing toward outcomes blindly. I’m slowing down enough to ask myself:

Is this action valuable?
Is this effort meaningful?
Is this path worth the energy it demands?

It’s funny how growth changes your lens.
Before, I would have swallowed that quote whole.
Now, I’m chewing slowly.

And honestly, this mindset can be a little tricky at work. My way of thinking doesn’t always align with the “just get it done” culture. But as I grow, I’m learning to enjoy the journey — not just the destination. To value the pathway, not only the prize. To honour the process, not just the product.

Because sometimes the effort is the result.
Sometimes the lesson is in the doing, not the finishing.
Sometimes the journey shapes you more than the outcome ever will.

So dear reader, here’s what I’m learning:

Not every message is meant for every moment.
Some quotes will fit you today.
Some will fit you next year.
Some will never fit at all.

Receive what comes your way,
evaluate it with honesty,
and adapt only what makes sense for the season you’re in.

Growth is not one‑size‑fits‑all.
Neither are the messages meant to guide us.

With sincere smiles,
