Adventures, Courses, Curiosity and the Quiet Discipline Behind It All
I’ve been told many times that I’m adventurous. I never really understood why people said that until recently. I guess it’s because I’m always trying something new – taking a course, signing up for trainings, investing in things that may look random to others but hold meaning for me.
The funny thing is, I didn’t even see myself that way. Not until the day I casually mentioned to my cousins that I was in a hair‑making class. Before I could even explain, they burst out laughing and said, “We knew it! You’ve started another course again.”
Their reaction made me pause.
Maybe I am more spontaneous than I thought.
But here’s the truth behind it:
I hate idleness.
I hate the feeling of being stagnant.
I hate watching time pass without learning, growing, or building something that adds value to my life.
Every new skill I pick up, every training I attend, every investment I make even the ones that seem random, is part of a bigger picture. A picture of wealth that isn’t just financial, but mental, emotional, and experiential.
Because building wealth isn’t always glamorous.
Sometimes it looks like trial and error.
Sometimes it looks like starting a hair‑making class on a random Monday.
Sometimes it looks like being curious enough to explore, brave enough to try, and disciplined enough to keep going.
And maybe that’s what adventure really is;
not the big, dramatic moments,
but the small, intentional choices that shape who we’re becoming.
One trial at a time.
One skill at a time.
One step closer to the life we’re building.
With a smirk,
